On August 9, 2018, the construction plan demonstration meeting for the "Jiangsu Province 3C Product Manufacturing Complete Equipment and High Technology Research Key Laboratory" was held at Bozhon. Relevant personnel from the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department, Suzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Wujiang Science and Technology Bureau, Academic Committee, and the Bozhon project team participated in the meeting to discuss the project direction and construction plan of the key laboratory.
The "Jiangsu Province 3C Product Manufacturing Complete Equipment and High Technology Research Key Laboratory" is one of the key laboratory projects in Jiangsu Province and also the first key laboratory project for Bozhon. This key laboratory serves as a bridge between key theories and practice, focusing primarily on 3C intelligent manufacturing technology and complete equipment. The research direction of the laboratory follows the approach from basic components to complete machines and then to systems, aiming to refine common technologies and conduct in-depth research, develop industry and national standards, and subsequently elevate them to international standards.
The demonstration meeting began with a speech by Director Ren Zhihong from the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department. He pointed out the key points for the demonstration of enterprise key laboratory projects: Key laboratories should have a clear positioning and should be distinctly differentiated from the enterprise's technology center and engineering center. Key laboratories should focus on basic research and theoretical research and establish a sound mechanism for talent introduction and training, as well as a comprehensive incentive mechanism. They should emphasize core capabilities to lay the groundwork for the enterprise's technology for the next decade or so, providing technical support to the enterprise's technology center and engineering center, while also focusing on the laboratory's capacity building. As a leader in the industry, Bozhon has the energy and ability to attempt key laboratory projects.
Subsequently, Li Chaojun, a member of the laboratory project team, reported on the construction plan of the project, mainly covering three aspects: an introduction to Bozhon Enterprise, project positioning and construction significance, and the formation plan. After the project report, experts from the Academic Committee offered guidance and suggestions. They believed that the research direction of the key laboratory should focus on fundamental research and should be aligned with the actual development situation of Bozhon, covering three levels: key components (high-speed, high-precision direct drive motion systems), complete machines (intelligent industrial robots), and systems (technologies for complete 3C manufacturing). At the same time, it is also necessary to refine and research common technologies and develop industry, national, and even international standards. In terms of talent training and organizational structure, Bozhon needs to focus on talent introduction, training, and incentive mechanisms, establish an effective organizational structure and management mechanism to ensure more rational and efficient operation of experimental research.
After listening to the opinions and suggestions of the Science and Technology Department and experts, Bozhon re-examined and adjusted the research direction and focus of the laboratory, and finally determined the construction plan. In the next three years, Bozhon will decompose goals and implement measures according to the laboratory construction plan, focusing on basic R&D and core technology exploration to deliver satisfactory results. Meanwhile, Bozhon will also actively build platforms for talent training and technology output, refine industry and national standards, and continuously support the innovative development of core technologies.
