Bozhon has been diligently advancing on the path of industrial automation while also setting an example by fulfilling its social responsibilities. In addition to collaborating with various universities to cultivate talents in intelligent manufacturing, Bozhon has also been an advocate for industrial automation. It opens the magical door to automation for many young students, planting the seeds of automation in their hearts and carefully nurturing them. This effort aims to make more people fall in love with automation, devote themselves to it, and help propel the development of automation to new heights!
The Liuyang Art and Science Museum was initiated by alumni of Liuyang No. 5 Middle School and has garnered strong support from all sectors of society. The museum's design spans a total area of 6,655.8 square meters, with an exhibition space of 4,800 square meters. Construction began in 2015, and the first phase of the project has now been completed. The museum is themed around "Science and Technology" and "Art," and is divided into five floors:
The first floor serves as the introductory area and features an exhibition on the life of Mr. Qian Xuesen; the second floor is dedicated to science popularization activities and exchanges; the third floor includes exhibits on aerospace, weapons and equipment, satellite tracking and control operations, satellite remote sensing applications, the development of computers and the internet, industrial automation, and more; the fourth floor houses an art reading room; the fifth floor contains a science popularization lecture hall that can accommodate 250 people.
The exhibition halls collectively feature 31 display stands, 6 display boards, and 118 models, including 91 models of aerospace and weaponry, and 27 models of ships, nuclear industry, and other scientific technologies. The second and top floors are planned as the second phase of the project, which will further enrich the content related to science and technology, art, and astronomy.
As the first comprehensive museum located within a school campus in China, the Liuyang Art and Science Museum provides a learning palace in art and science for students from towns and remote areas, especially those from rural backgrounds. It is on this basis that, in August 2017, the 25th national and first "Qian Xuesen Experimental Class" in Hunan Province was established at Liuyang No. 5 Middle School.
From planning to construction, the museum has received strong support from leaders at all levels and members of society: Mr. Lv Zhangshen, the former director of the National Museum, inscribed the museum's name; Mr. Qian Yonggang, the son of Mr. Qian Xuesen and director of the Qian Xuesen Library at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, visited Liuyang No. 5 Middle School to provide guidance and helped establish the first "Qian Xuesen Experimental Class" in Hunan Province; Professor Wu Xiaohai, a renowned artist from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, donated a large number of art works and meticulously sculpted a bronze statue of Mr. Qian Xuesen; the National Defense Science, Technology and Industry Bureau, more than a dozen military industrial groups, dozens of enterprises and individuals, some universities, relevant research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and artists from home and abroad donated hundreds of exhibits and works to the museum; relevant departments of the Hunan Provincial Government and the Changsha City Government provided great support and assistance for the construction of the museum, which has been designated as a provincial base for science popularization education by Hunan Province.
The Liuyang Art and Science Museum aims to provide opportunities for science popularization and art learning for students from towns and remote areas, to broaden the vision for distinctive rural education, and to explore new ways to cultivate students' logical and visual thinking. Its successful opening has made a bold exploration and beneficial attempt for Liuyang, Changsha, and even the whole province and country in the distinctive development of science and art education. As Mr. Luo Ge said, "The museum has opened a magical door to the vast cosmos for young students, allowing them to get close to excellent art works from ancient and modern times, both Chinese and foreign, igniting the public's immense love for science and technology, and also experiencing the infinite charm of art."
